SavedReads is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we use it.
What We Collect
SavedReads collects only the minimum data necessary to provide our service:
- Email address: To send you daily bookmark digests
- X/Twitter bookmark URLs and text: To generate AI summaries and deliver them to you
That's it. We don't collect browsing history, passwords, personal messages, or any other data from your X/Twitter account or browser.
How We Use Your Data
We use your data exclusively to provide the SavedReads service:
- Your email address is used to deliver daily digest emails
- Your bookmark text is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate one-sentence summaries
- Bookmark URLs are stored to track which bookmarks you've already received in digests
We do not use your data for advertising, analytics, or any other purpose beyond delivering your bookmark digests.
Third-Party Services
SavedReads uses the following third-party services:
- Resend: For email delivery. Resend processes your email address to send digests. Resend Privacy Policy
- Anthropic (Claude): For AI-powered summaries. Only bookmark text is sent to Anthropic, and it is anonymized (no email, username, or identifying information). Anthropic Privacy Policy
Important: We never sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for their own use. The services listed above are processors who help us deliver SavedReads to you.
Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely on our servers. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure.
No Tracking or Ads
SavedReads does not use tracking cookies, analytics scripts, or advertising networks. We don't track your behavior, and we don't serve ads.
Your Rights
You have full control over your data:
- Access: You can request a copy of all data we have about you
- Deletion: You can request deletion of all your data at any time
- Unsubscribe: You can stop receiving digests by uninstalling the extension or emailing us
To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@savedreads.ai. We'll respond within 7 days.
Data Deletion
If you uninstall the SavedReads extension, your data will remain on our servers until you request deletion. To delete all your data, email support@savedreads.ai with the subject line "Delete My Data."
We will permanently delete your email address, all stored bookmarks, and any associated data within 30 days of your request.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you via email before the changes take effect.
